How can I get involved?

First make sure you have signed the online divestment petition. If you know other students, staff, or other UC affiliates who would be willing to sign the petition, you can use the following e-mail template. Consider printing out this hard copy of the petition and use it to obtain signatures which you can then transfer to the online petition. Next, think about contacting people and organizations for support (see below).

If you are a UC student and would like to contact your campus's Taskforce organizer, please click here.

Introductory material:

The Taskforce has created a quick info sheet on our purpose, activities, and endorsers. This sheet can accompany endorsement/resolution solicitations to individuals or organizations. We have also created a 6-minute video introduction to the Darfur conflict and UC divestment that can be shown to groups or organizations considering an endorsement/resolution. Finally, we have created a PowerPoint tutorial on what targeted divestment is, how easy/hard it may be to divest from certain investments, and other general divestment questions. We hope this tutorial will serve as a tool to educate those in the early stages of a divestment campaign.
